Tinfoil Hats anyone?

Is anyone else creeped out by the subtle, gentle, caressing way that Facebook invades your privacy?

I’m suss of it..

    Facebook freaks me out too.

Who in their right mind would click on:

“Allowing [insert application name here] access will let it pull your profile information, photos, your friends’ info, and other content that it requires to work.”

    *shiver*

Plus, your login name is your “real name”!

*adjusts tinfoil hat, alert and alarmed*

PS Did you hear the conspiracy theory about Twitter and how terrorists will be able to plot all manner of evil deeds in real time?

I avoided Facebook for ages – their terms of service basically say that you are granting them licence to use anything you put on there – writing, photos, whatever – and in any form they choose. Scary.

Clicked too soon. Was going to say that I did eventually succumb, but I’m really careful what I put on there (almost nothing). It has been handy for catching up with a few people from Adelaide (my hometown) that I hadn’t seen for years.

Nothing bad has happened to me until yesterday. My relatives are gossiping amongst themselves about my choice of friends. Boo.

I don’t want to cause a scene either. “Why did’t you accept my facebook friend request?” “Why have you blocked me?” Ugh. Shutup, people with the same genetics as me!

I am ever thankful for the non-relative finding myspace.
