After a pretty full on crap week I put on ‘Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots’ and ‘The Soft Bulletin’ back to back, a couple of times actually, (it’s been a really really crap week). I can forge on again now. If you can suggest any other bands with similar insightful lyrics I would appreciate it. I’d never have known of this inspiring band without your recommendation. I almost wish they were not so alternative so that more would listen and appreciate their fantastic lyrics.

I agree, the song’s great. The lyrics and melody suck you straight back to that glorious time when you were young. I remember my best mate breaking the news that she was off to business college and wouldn’t be back at school. The level of betrayal I felt has never revisited me not even with romantic relationships! You knew something great was ending and although you’d try and stay in touch there was that dreaded feeling that things would never be the same.
Those times when you were on the cusp of adulthood with your mates, experiencing new things together are the alltime best memories in my book-mistakes and all! A time when everything was ahead for you and you had no mortgage, no whining kids (bless em) and yes indeed Andrew no love handles!
