Unfortunately, as with everything in this world, people take things too the extreme, including their religion and God. Having saw the Metro on the day of Heaths untimely death, I was immediately saddened for his family. Nothing but their pain and sadness first entered my mind until I saw the headline of the planned pickets. C’mon folks! Is it just me or is someones death, whoever they are, and however that death occurs, a sad moment where family and friends should be allowed to grieve in their own way, privately without the interuption of people who think (but are not) better than the one who has died?
Rant over… and to Heaths family and friends… know the people who loved him are by far in the majority than those small minded individuals.

Firstly, after several months of non access I have cracked the code of access to comments. Yes, this university education pays off in smarts for me!

Secondly, I can either get really, really, angry at this lot – which is my initial reaction… or I can be amused that people can be truly as deluded as they are. Bit scary they roam free, though.

G, these people exist in all areas of society. No amount of talk will change their mind. They are set in their ways. They can believe whatever they want. They have that right, no matter how much I may disagree with it. I expect these wackos to always be on their stump, preaching that their way is the only way… They truly have a lot to learn.

How does one deal with these religious zealots? Take a lesson from Lisa Simpson. “Just Don’t Look.” These zealots gain power when people listen to them and argue with them. If these zealots have no audience, they have no power. Ignorance works both ways…

Hate under the guise of religion.
If only the choice to be “normal” were such an easy one to make, we could all live a bigoted, repressed life waiting for our final reward which would absolve us of the unnecessary pain we inflicted on others as that writers everafter belief comes across.
The true sadness here is a young life lost and a little girl without her Daddy. Is that “Gods” punishment for the man or his baby? My God doesn’t roll like that.

Apparently a memorial has been planned in LA for Heath, and possibly New York, and they said that they will probably be going to that.

I hope nobody does anything at Heath’s actual funeral in Perth. Heath’s gone, it’s true that the family and friends are the ones who must deal with the pain of losing him and saying goodbye, and having these people, if we can even call them that are the last thing they need during this difficult time.

It’s fucking disgusting. It is the last thing that the family needs to deal with at a time like this. But in the end its not Heath who is being pained or stunted by this. It is those poor people and their children and relations who have had this disgusting personal bigotry and prejudice under the thin guise of religion, they simply cant be living a full and happy life if this is what it centres around.

I dont know where Heath will be laid to rest though, but if it is here in his home town Perth I dont expect to hear from them.
