Sadness.

As I assemble flat pack Ikea furniture (it’s lego for grown-ups I tell you!), I contemplate the enormous loss of Heath.

Shit.
Damn.

The press really could have waited a few days (months) before showing pictures of his body being taken out of the hotel.
There were bound to be people who knew him that found out in the worst way (on the telly.)
C’mon. A bit of respect please Mr Media!

    A tragic loss.

I feel sorry for little Matilda most of all.

It was terrible the way the media gathered like a bunch of savage wolves outside the building for pictures of the body bag for a man who went out of his way to steer clear of them.

  2. Such a waste of a life.

I can’t believe the way the family found out. The radio… at least i got a text message before I heard it on the radio.

As with any celebrity death, it’s hard to reconcile the hurt & sense of loss you feel, when you didn’t even ‘know’ the person. But underneath that celebrity status was a person, a real, down-to-earth, father, son, brother and lover. RIP Heath.

I read this on news.com.au today.

‘The father of his former partner Michelle, Larry Williams, said Ledger’s death was “a tragedy to his family and for us all to lose such a brilliant artist”. Quoting the poet Alfred Lord Tennyson, Mr Williams said: “He burned the candle at both ends, so his years were few. But, oh, what a beautiful flame he made.”

I think it sums it up perfectly.’

Also to steal a quote from Douglas in your ‘words of advice for young people’ thread….
“Endings are always new beginnings.” and Heath, we all wish you the best with your next journey, you were stolen from us way too soon, you left us all wanting more. RIP.
