It’s quite simple.
When I grow up, I want to be in a Wes Anderson film.
In fact, as some people dress them selves and style them selves after their favourite pop stars and actors and the like, I think I am going to try and style my entire life like a Wes Anderson movie.
I will wear lots of turtle-necked clothing, fantastic vintage sunglasses, and have fabulously matched luggage.
I will stay for months on end in exotic French hotels and read lots and lots of books that aren’t comics.
Better yet, I will have Bill Murray somehow come in to my life and play the role of my benefactor/nemesis/guiding force, and Owen Wilson will somehow mysteriously always be there, in trouble, ready for me to bail him and his scruffy-haired self out of whatever predicament he is in.
I will also not ever walk between rooms, I will merely glide camera right or left to arrive in another place.
Oh gosh.
The Darjeeling Limited is hands down my favourite film this year.

I look forward to seeing Fantastic Mr Fox…
I remember in grade 2 our whole class was obsessed with Roald Dahl and we would just spend the whole day making the teacher read his books. Fantastic Mr Fox was one of my favorites.
Oh, new Wes Anderson film? Kickin’, I hadn’t heard anything of it until now. Life Aquatic is somewhere in my top 5 films, so I’ll be glad to check this one out.

I just saw the preview screening in Perth last night.
Oh, how I agree with you.
I’m instantly in love with Wes Anderson, Jason Schwartzman, Adrien Brody and Owen Wilson. I’m in love with the characters, their relationships with one another and the way they evolve.
A friend and I analysed the film all the way home. That’s something we never do anymore.
And veering off, although still in the theme of love: I’m in love with The Black Crowes as of yesterday when I put a cd in the car and rocked all the way to work. I’m getting ready for the show in March.
All up, I think today is going to be brilliant. I have new music and a new film in my life and I’m feeling giddy with love.
