Sounds just like my life but without the radio gig and surfing.
First you should get yourself a bottle opener or only buy twist tops in future!
Secondly you could think about who or what has been sitting on the back burner while you have been so busy. I realised recently that I was letting life get in the way of living. I was not seeing the people I really wanted to be with because so many other people I could care less about were eating up my precious time!
Take a detour from the rat race for a while, it’s really nice.
Take care and have a nice time whatever you decide to do. xxx

Isn’t it funny how much our identity gets tied into what we do? And where people know us from? It struck me the other day, when I was out with lunch with a friend from my sons’ school, that we very often don’t take the time to get to know people outside the area we know them from. My friend turned around and asked me what I was up to now that uni had finished. I laughed and said “I guess I’ll get the books up to date”. She looked at me kind of funny and said “What books?”, and I realised that she had no idea that I had my own business with my husband. She saw me as a mum, uni student and Friday lunch-mate! Wow!

I bet you get that all the time! You are Andrew G from Idol. So it’s nice to now that you are a serial house-cleaner, surfer, and party planner (bring on NYE!). Hope you find some time to play some scrabble as well!

    Cheers, Tracey

  3. Sounds lyk my mum!
“School seems the most important thing right now” she said one day after school “but what are you going to do when you finish school in twelve months? You can’t be thirty and still be singing in the school choir.” I guess everyone just falls into the trap of life will always be the same.
Though Cleaning the house may be a great break from idol And remember that cleaing the house is a job that is never complete, at least that’s what my mum tells me! maybe it’s just me!

  4. Sorry if this is a stupid question.. i spose iv been under a rock?? But.. what did you do to your thumb G?

I’ve been asking myself this, ‘what am I going to do now’, since selling our businesses 5 months ago. I’ve gone form working 24/7, to no work, to heading for inasanity. Initially I thought, this is going to be great, I’ll have time to catch up with friends I haven’t seen for a while or spent much time with, clean out all those cupboards that need sorting, clean fridges and all the things that get left for another day, I could do whatever I like whenever I like.
Well 5 months on, with no routine and too much time on my hands, I’ve had enough coffees and lunches with friends, rels, myself and even strangers, to last me a lifetime. I have become even more obssessed with cleaning and neatness than before and if I don’t get myself a job soon I will drive everyone else around me nuts.
What do people who don’t work or have never worked do with themselves day in, day out.
    Cause I can’t stand it.

  8. HAHHAHA Binga took the words right out of my mouth. Pop down the Organic fruit shop and pick up some soy yogurt.

I was also going to suggest that you change your shirt again.

If you want you can come and work for me I will sit and watch, 9 hours of fake smiling. Today a glass exploded all over me, the cream pressure pack exploded all over me then I scrapped the side of my car on a pole. Fucking pissed!
