Eh, this sucks. Not the blog itself, it's a top entry. The only lame thing is that I've found the majority of my music myself, by spending countless hours reading reviews and connections between artists and going from there. I've not really had much of an experience with those I know introducing me to music. Apart from Cake, Buckley, Sigur Ros, and Maiden, I don't really share this kind of connection with music. Tough days.

My friends are a bit boring and don't like my taste in music!! George Michael is my fave (no one influenced me there!!). I loved The Cult thanks to my darling cousin who I lost in 95. Anything you can dance to, Techno, disco, ACDC, my taste varies!
Went to The 80's Spectacular last weekend. Brian Mannix, Scott Carne (kids in the kitchen), the guys from the Models (how hot is James Freud at 48!!!). Had the best time, they were all fantastic. We felt like we were in High School again. Any die hard 80's fan would love it.

Music can make you feel so damn good,a better high than any drug could give you!!!

I used to have to make mix tapes as well. I used to record things like news breaks, weather, adds and comedy bits as well as music. My friends mum got me to make her one she used to play it in the car all the time.

I wonder what happened to them all I used to have heaps of tapes now i don't even own anything to play them in.

Dude - Extreme? Yes!!! Napalm Death?? Oh my god, no! I just bought a DVD with all the Extreme videos - most are cheesy, cheap and confused. But Nuno is a guru. Let me turn you on to something - Nuno's solo album, Schizophonic. It's the killer Extreme album they should have made instead of 'Waiting For The Punchline'. That album should have been called 'we had a hit with More Than Words, and it's been downhill ever since'. Actually, their third record 'Three Sides To Every Story' is in my top 5 records ever.

My parents, are major influences. I remember mother playing her cassettes from Genesis, INXS, Bee Gees and heaps more on our frequent car trips. And she would play her favourite songs over and over.
Dad loved the Led Zep and the like, and so when we took long car trips, he would make me, make mix tapes for him of all the old school rock.

Most of my friends don't really influence me with music as they're into what is on the charts.

I like a lot of 80s and a lot of indie that you find on tv shows, they play one song and I will check out other songs by them, and their influences.
Myspace has been good for that too.

I love mix cds I have a draw full of them. I love listening to them and thinking about how much my music taste has changed.

There is strong influence by my Dad in the music I like (chisel, midnight oil, eagles, 80's pop) and slightly my mother (INXS,Daryl Braithwaite,Bruce Springsteen, Madonna). Although Father's music taste has gone all weird and he is in love with fall out boy, linkin park and MCR.(He watches channel [v] way to much.)
My brother is my reason for loving Powderfinger, old silverchair, Matchbox twenty, 90's rock ect.
My cousin is my dance music (We also then go down load the non cover of dance tracks), Tina Turner, ABBA,TOTO, and weird 80 and 70's music.
My friends are also most dance music and new poppy stuff.
Binga also has a huge influence, we have similar taste. She is my reason for being obcessed with JT at the moment.
I also have heaps of bands that I found on Tv shows or in a Movie.
God knows where my obsession for Kylie came from, Maybe I am part gay male....
And those Adds on the TV that are on at 4am for those life time cd packs I downloaded like every song off those adds.

Wow... that was a novel...
