I’ve been thinking… look out!
SO sorry for lack of updates. Stupid Dial up in hotel rooms! Stupid Channel [v] admin page not liking my browser! Stupid me for being a lazy arse sucker who procrastinates for a living!
Quickly, a few things.
Jim split his lip, but he’s ok. Jim’s my hero.
I’ve been running almost every day, for at least an hour.
We’re seeing tonnes of singers. Tonnes of them aren’t bad, but aren’t great either.
Listen to Ween. Please, for the love of everything, Listen to Ween.
Also – just bought the Black Mountain record. It’s great. Dirgy jams, and great.
I’m off for a run. It’s 6:37am. We audition singers today..Foo Fighters rule the world.
I’ve learned this week that people can become addicted to the emotional response of a situation. When the body feels good, it releases hormones and chemicals to make you react, like when you’re in love, you feel goosebumps, a warm feeling in the belly, dizzy happiness unbreakable by anything when you’re around a certain person.. Some might say you’re not in Love, just addicted to the way your body feels around a certain person, and therefore, you keep manifesting and manufacturing your life so that person is around you all the time, and hence allow your addiction to continue, so you keep getting your hit.
However, we can also become addicted to the chemmicals our body releases in an uncomfortable situation. Dysfunctional relationships, intense confrontations, the feeling of misery brought on by ugly situations. It occured to me that I sometimes manifest, or create, or allow myself to be in situations like these, or see situations far removed one like this in an ugly light, because I’m addicted to the bad feeling in my body when these things happen (sweaty palms, upset belly, shaky, fast heart rate) somewhere along the way, feeling like that seemed right. It’s not. I’m working on altering my perception of situations and controlling my reactions. It’s working out ok so far.
This doesn’t mean I can suspend my moral intuition that tells me what is right and wrong, it’s just a way of not flying off the handle in either direction so far..Can you tell I’ve got a lot of time on my hands on tour so I’m thinking a lot?
